HACK4CHANGE – DAY 1 ROUND UP (24th JULY 2020)

Today was a momentus occasion for our team here at Invest In Me.

Aside from announcing our Partnership with the PNG Digital ICT Cluster, we launched our Invest In Me Crowdfunding Platform (www.invest-in-me.org) – Papua New Guinea’s Premier Online Crowdfund.

It was exciting to see the pool of young talent come through; a mix of youth and experience. Indeed an honor to be given the opportunity as one of four Mentors with the responsibility to couch and guide the next generation of Innovators on their entrepreneurial journey as the leaders of tomorrow.

The Hackathon proper begins officially tomorrow and continues into Sunday with the Winners to be announced on Monday 27th July 2020.

This years inaugural event comprises of 7 teams with varying ICT solutions to be developed in achieving a selected UN SDG goal which the teams choose.

The event will conclude with teams pitching their solutions to a panel of judges with winners to receive prize money and the opportunity to continue running campaings for their Start-Up on the Invest In Me Crowdfunding Platform in raising additional seed capital with endorsement from the PNG Digital ICT Cluster to push their projects forward.
