Girl Guides Association of Papua New Guinea – REPLACE Signboard
The first of our success stories on the Invest In Me Platform is the Girl Guides Association of Papua New Guinea and their bid to raise funds to replace their signboard.
Girl Guides (known as Girl Scouts in the United States and some other countries) is a movement found worldwide, which was originally and still largely designed for girls and women only.
The main role of the Girl Guides is to empower girls and young women to grow into confident, self-respecting responsible community members/leaders.
Since its inception by the Missionaries in 1927 with their Headquarters at Konedobu, Port Moresby, the Girl Guides Association of Papua New Guinea has seen better days.
As a Not for Profit, the organization has in the past faced many challenges mostly to do with funding to run many of their programs and to maintain essential infrustructure.
One such infrustructure is its signboard.
With support from Invest In Me their goal to secure funding to replace their signboard is now a reality.
With their funding goal of $245 reached, the Girl Guides Association of Papua New Guinea can expect a new signboard courtesy of our friends at Media Partners Limited in the coming days.
This is what we live for!
