With Gender Based Violence tagged as a “pandemic” in Papua New Guinea (2020), we as a new, local and growing team are standing up to help decrease the number of GBV victims and putting an end to GBV in PNG. This will be possible with “TOKAUT”.

Tokaut is a mobile application that is in its prototype stage.

Tokaut will work using a GPS/navigation system , that with a click of a button, it automatically contacts safe houses, police, nearest emergency units and organizations to assist in all forms of GBV activity happening in a particular area.

As a case is registered, the caller will follow up using a code that will remain anonymous to the organization and public until the case is solved.

The caller or victim’s information will be kept private using their individual information and password where only they may have access to in order to follow up. With this app, security is the number one priority as ones life is at risk!

With this fast approach the number of men & women losing their lives and suffering from GBV (this is any form of violence) will decrease in PNG.
